Brazil is the largest Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) nation in the world and the only one in the Americas. Brazil has the largest Japanese community outside of Japan. It hosts between 15 and 20 per cent of the world’s biological diversity. It contains about two-thirds of the Amazon Rainforest. The deadliest place on earth is Queimada Grande Island, also known as Snake Island, cannot be visited without authorization of the Brazilian Navy.
