Chile is home to the largest prehistoric human-like geoglyph, or figure sculpted into the landscape, known as the Atacama Giant. This country also has the oldest known site of human habitation in the Americas dating to as early as 16,500 BC. It’s known as the country with the highest recorded number of UFO sightings and the government itself has launched a committee to study them. It holds the record for the biggest earthquake ever recorded on earth, measuring 9.5 on the Richter scale, which hit the country in 1960.
